Pity you closed the other thread down. I was beginning to enjoy it. I had a great comment typed out.

But I do like this post. Believe it or not, there are still die hard Bush supporters who still think WMD's will eb found. They sort of remind me deranged individuals who will believe in the lie more than the liar who told it.

I am onfused. What "facts" have you presented in this thread? She posted a picture of a cover page. The meat of the story is that the WHitehouse finally admitted there are no WMD's. What more facts does one need? It came from the horses mouth. DO we need to look in his larnyx too to make sure it REALLY came from there? Should we test to make sure the horse wasn't under hypnosis? This confuses me. You call anyone who disgrees with you "moonbats" and use the same term when describing someone who has what you deem as a fringe theory, yet, you seem to insinuate there is a fringe theory or conspiracy here with this post?

Geoffrey actually reminds me a lot of George Bush. A perfect little mouthpiece. The perfect little droid with only so many lines to spout. He uses the contemporary conservative strategy of bitter, bile and adamant denial to work every thread into an acrimonious nightmare.

That is why I close the threads and delete his repetative, robotic, transparent comments.

He feeds off the responses he gets. The more thoughtful and genuine the comment, the more reason a person tries to add to the exchange, the more he likes to abuse the commentor. He gets off on belittlement. It's his main defense mechanism because he HAS no argument. His main defense mechanism is "you're stupid." It's tedious. I have explained this about a hundred times and you continue to say the same silly things like "yeah, Maria shuts down the comments because she can't defend her argument." You totally overlook the fact that of all the reasons I shut down the threads, that's not one of them. You and Geoffrey always seem to think there's something to be won. There's nothing to be won here. There are no prizes being given out. You don't get anything for coming here and telling all the democrats that they're idiots and don't know what they're talking about. I don't visit Dogsnot. I don't visit your blog Mad Mikey. So why do you visit mine? That's the real question.

Because you need someone to aggress against? Because you think you're going to change me? So that you can "win" an argument? Why? That's right. Because you can't deal with the fact that my opinions are different than yours. I don't care that yours are different from mine. It's really strange if you ask me. But I think it reveals more than anything, who is truly insecure. Those of you who can't cope with my existence and that of others like me, so you feel compelled to come and tell me that you think my head is up my ass. Well guess what? I think your head is up your ass too. But I don't visit your blog and read your posts every day just so I can have the opportunity to tell you so.

As I said, and Mikey agreed, you rarely can defend your argument because you rarely understand the arguments you cut and paste. You are quick to completely abandon your indefensible argument and resort to ad homs. Then, when it's apparent everyone else is beginning to see your argument has been debunked, you delete the comments and lock the thread. Your blog is riddled with the locked comments of your lost arguments. Heck, look at either of last two discussions we had. I factually debunked everything you said, you cried, then you locked the thread.

It doesn't matter that you do, though. What's important is that you and I both know you're all hat, no cattle.

Ok, I just have to ask this:

Geoffrey, when Maria wrote the posting about how she was going to back to school, your first comment was a very civil, "Look into the SAT classes; they help, especially when you've been away from school awhile."

You know I typically agree with your postings because we are more of the same mindset than myself and Maria, but for the love of all that is good and green on God's gracious earth, I cannot understand the civility in one thread and the absolute bashing of everything from political beliefs to what she looks like in photographs to her occupation. There are times when you seem to be good friends with her. Then comes a stream of attacks that prompts more attacks, until the vitriol could kill an army of rats in a heartbeat.

My husband is much the same way; he believes it is his life mission to convert all Democrats and liberals to conservatism. It pisses the living hell out of him that people think the way Maria does. I personally oppose much of what she writes; however, I do believe she has a major talent for writing and expresses herself in a passionate and articulate manner. Just because I disagree with most of it doesn't make it poor writing. On the other hand, I agree with much, if not most of what you say, but honest to God you piss me off watching you dismantle and reduce everything to the depths you do at times.

Just my observation. I'm only one reader and you can tell me to go to hell and I won't be pissed because I know you love all of us who agree with you :)

There's a difference between watching them "go at it" and attacking somebody's age and appearance. You were the first one to defend her yesterday when those two issues came up! I'm not a big one for constant agreement either; that's most of the reason I constantly read both their blogs, because they provide a total opposite approach on most issues. My comment referred to the base levels that he reaches.

Does anyone really think I would have this blog if I didn't think people were going to disagree with me? I abandon arguments because I don't care enough to keep arguing with a person who is determined to WIN. I don't think that every discussion has to have a final resolution where one person feels superior over the other. I say what I think on this website because I don't feel like holding it in. I agree. That is exactly why I defended Maria over there. Attacking someone's position - I love that. Attacking someone's appearance, especially falsely, I will smack somone for that. My husband told somebody just yesterday that I was 37 and I slugged him in the arm. I won't be 37 until the end of April and I don't feel like getting nudged there a minute before. So calling someone pushing 30, who is a few years away from the big 3-0 is just nasty, IMHO.

Thanks. I enjoy a good flame war, really. But I much rather debate politics and to do that properly you have to respect your opponent and I try hard to do that. That is one reason I can argue with you but with Nunya and a few others - I just flame their asses. Some people don't know the meaning of the word respect. We all can lose it in the heat of the moment but some people are lost before they begin.

For the record, my Dad (RIP) was a hardcore Union Democrat and Mom is an Independent. I was raised by immigrants that fled Communist Poland to give us a better life. I am the first American citizen in my entire family and I am their 3rd child. I was also a card carrying Democrat until about 1994. :-)

I am a hypocrite - I admit it. I m also a woman and women hate to be attacked for our physical appearance. I don't mind attacking someone for being stupid or wrong because those are things you can change. You can't change your appearance as easily and you can't ever change your age. Besides someone's appearance usually has nothing to do with the argument at hand.

It's not okay to attack someone's anything really but if you are gonna do it you should attack something that is debatable. Like morals, intelligence, position, etc...

What exactly do you gain by "jumping all over" someone on a blog when they say something you personally disagree with? I have read a number of blogs already where it seems you take the offensive as if it were a search and destroy objective to find any blog that talks points you do not agree with, then stir up the conversation just enough to tick someone off. From there is escalates in an all out flame war.

"Going at it" doesnt mean I sanction pissing on somebody's life. "Going at it" referred to general back and forth debate where two parties disagree to topics.
