Some good articles and editorials relating to Bush's war on facts.
Bush's difficult relationship with reality.
George Bush Won't Be Reading This
George Bush Denies Global Warming Exists, Despite Scientific Evidence
Bush ignores facts with good reason
Pre-War Statements By Cheney Under Scrutiny (Good example of how Bush administration only elicited intelligence and opinions that supported what he wanted to hear about Iraq and how Bush lied in his SOU about Uranium)
Bush Uranium Lie is the Tip of the Iceberg
Fear Mongering Instead of Facts
PIPA Report on how Bush Administration's war on facts has kept supporters misinformed
Bush confesses he's only human, but won't admit errors
Bush Denies He Ever Said He Wasn't That Concerned About Bin Laden (nothing like getting caught in an outright lie!)
And last, but far from least, that piece which I'm greatful to Cul for preserving and thereby saving me the $3.00 that the NYT wants to charge for the archived article:
Without A Doubt by Ron Suskind (How Bush's "faith" guides him - consequently, guiding him in the opposite direction from reality)
George Bush tells us himself what he thinks of facts and evidence:
Thanks to Sandy's comment about Foreign Policy Magazine, I have an excellent article to add to this growing list:
Bush’s Willing Enablers ("What needs to go is the tragic alchemy that allows time-tested principles to be too easily discarded in favor of bad, ideologically driven policies.")
Jason started getting a subscription to "Foreign Policy Magazine" and it's ummm..been an eye opener.
Posted by: sandy at October 28, 2004 12:23 PMI didn't see Howard Stern in there, did I?
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 01:06 PMWeak.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 01:07 PMWeak is citing anon sources from an Austin Production.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 02:37 PMWeak is having no defense against the truth.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 02:48 PMAha! An anon souce from "some" Austin Production is the truth?
You truly are gullable. Keep lapping the kool-aid.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 02:49 PMIt's so entertaining to watch you squirm. You picked one article out of the MANY that I posted, all of which lend weight to the obvious fact that Bush doesn't like facts, and you try to tear down the OVERWHELMING truth, by picking apart one small piece of the evidentiary puzzle. The truth is that which is supported by all of the articles that I've posted here, what's been written in many books by those who have worked closely with or within the Bush administration and that which we have seen with our own eyes during speeches, debates and press conferences.
It's like watching a scientific experiment take place, you trying to fend off reality: *in a hushed discovery channel whisper*: "how long can this man maintain his denial while being confronted with overwhelming evidence of the opposing reality? Let's watch and see..."
Hahahahaaa! Your objections are futile Gordon, the world has already seen Bush for who he is. You can imagine him in your mind any way you wish, but the truth remains that he's a whacko fundamentalist rightwing christian with no patience for facts which contradict his stonecold convictions. All you can do is pray.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 03:00 PMI struck a nerve again. You're volatile today, Maria. You're time of the moon?
I won't even begin to refute the rest of their editorials, let alone lend any credence to their credibility.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 03:04 PMI'm just having a great time making you look like even more of a fool than you've already done yourself. (If that's even possible!)
Enjoying slapping you around like the crying little bitch that you are while you desperately grasp for something to say in return. You're the most wonderfully predictable person I've ever encountered. I always know you're getting desperate when you ask me if it's "my time of the moon." Once again, you betray your own condition.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 03:08 PMRightwing Christian..that second word is what is troubling me...I'm fearing so much that this man is "ruling" by faith and allowing his beliefs to convulute his way of thinking. Separation of Church and State..it's being muddled!
Posted by: sandy at October 28, 2004 03:08 PMYou can tell when Maria realizes she doesn't have a leg to stand on when instead of addressing your point, she starts talking about watching you squirm. Typical NeoCom tactic when they don't have the facts or are caught in a bullshit "belief".
Posted by: Geoffrey at October 28, 2004 03:25 PMOh look! It's Geoffrey. *Hushed discovery channel whisper*: "look! Here comes a companion. He's sniffing. He's decided to join his lazy friend in the bog of eternal denial. Let's observe them both while they gnash their wild teeth at that which is indisputable...ssssshhhh."
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 03:27 PMAnd there's maria, doing exactly what I described in my prior post.
Predictable.
Posted by: Geoffrey at October 28, 2004 03:29 PMI've already proven my point. All I have to do now is sit here and observe while you guys thrash around like wounded animals.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 03:30 PMAnd all I have to do is continually point out you are behaving exactly as I predicted.
Posted by: Geoffrey at October 28, 2004 03:38 PMBeing predictable isn't nearly as worrisome as being in denial.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 03:40 PMIt is when your predictability contains zero substance.
Posted by: Geoffrey at October 28, 2004 03:41 PMWhy don't you try debating on the substance then? Oh that's right, you can't dispute what has already proven to be true. Pobresito.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 03:43 PMHmmm.
Gordon calls into question one of your "sources".
You head off on a personal attack tangent, taking the debate off topic. Then you have the audacity to suggest I debate the topic, when you've already led it astray?
Heh. You lost before you began.
Posted by: Geoffrey at October 28, 2004 03:50 PMWhat substance? Howard Stern? Some anon souce from Austin?
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 03:50 PMI didn't even quote Howard Stern, which shows how happy you are to live in your little world of denial.
Now please, one of you, point me to a single source or a single article that disputes what I have stated in this entry. If you can't do that, why don't you go back to your little hole until you have something useful to add.

NeoCUNT,
That narrative, hands down, is the funniest thing you've said in the last year and a half. Heck, it's the only funny thing you've ever said, but it was funny nonetheless.
It didn't take the felon long to disregard Maria's request.
Posted by: Geoffrey at October 28, 2004 07:09 PM"Bush's difficult relationship with reality."
A touching editorial piece, Maria. You are familiar with the difference between fact and opinion aren't you?
One source debunked and more to follow.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 07:22 PM"George Won’t Be Reading This:The president prefers spin to news" by David Corn
Are you fucking kidding? I'm supposed to accept something with a title like this as fair and balanced? Thanks for another editorial and opinion piece. That's like citing my blog for fairness.
You are so out of touch from reality.
Consider one more "source" debunked.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 07:29 PMIt's just the truth about George Bush. Everyone seems to know it but you. It's called denial.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 07:37 PMOh yes, have you found a single contradicting article or source yet? Have you found one person who can say they have worked with George Bush and these things are untrue? That's what I thought. Burned again.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 07:38 PM"It's just the truth about George Bush."
Opinion equates to truth?
An editorial is a fact?
Are you this fucking numb?
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 07:41 PM"Oh yes, have you found a single contradicting article or source yet?"
How can a person dispute an opinion? Moron.
Give me some FACTS to dispute, and I'll dispute.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 07:42 PMWhat I find funny is NeoFelon spends so much time yapping about the election, and he isn't even allowed to vote.
THAT'S rich!
Posted by: Geoffrey at October 28, 2004 07:43 PM"George Bush Denies Global Warming Exists, Despite Scientific Evidence" by the Natural Resource Defense Council.
Are you kidding again? There as biased as they get. That's like me citing evidence from religous whackos at the 700 Club.
Get real.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 07:52 PM"Bush Ignores the Facts With Good Reason"
I think the only one ignoring the facts - is YOU.
Another editorial, uh huh.
Where's the facts, maam?
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 07:57 PMI think that the opinions of those who have worked closely with Bush carry a lot of weight. Just as the opinions of those who any of us have worked with carry weight, providing they're not biased. Which in most of these cases, they're not. Contrary to what you want to tell yourself. These are people whose opinions about Bush shifted from the positive to the negative as they experienced his actions firsthand. That does not qualify as bias. It qualifies as firsthand experience.
If everyone who ever worked with me said I was a terrible secretary, I'd have a hard time getting a job in a reputable firm.
Opinions matter.
As for global warming. It's a scientific fact that it exists. That didn't stop Bush from denying that it was true.
You can deny it all you want, the man hates facts. Try finding a single person who can credibly dispute that "opinion." You can't. Because it's a fact that he hates facts.
No biggie. You're the ones voting for the idiot. Not me.
Posted by: Maria at October 28, 2004 07:59 PMI'm not sying opinion doesn't matter. If it didn't, can you imagine an election?
All I'm disputing Maria, is that you're calling people's opinions - facts.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at October 28, 2004 08:10 PMYou're the ones voting for the idiot. Not me.
Really?
That's not what the data suggests
