Tooting My Own Horn

Tomorrow is my birthday. I turn 26 years old.

I am taking Thursday and Friday off from work to recover from the massive hangover that I will no doubt be suffering.

Tomorrow night Robert and I have reservations at Spice Market and then we have a drink date with Kat and Chas. After that, we will probably just head home. He says he has some surprise planned for Thurs. so I'm antsy about that.

Finally, on Saturday, Kathleen is throwing a party. It should be fun!

All this activity is surely just a way to avoid contemplating the fact that I'm getting older. It really feels like this last ten years has just flown by. I'm no spring chicken anymore, people!!! But I guess I still feel like one because while so many people seem to have kids and be married by my age, I'm still miss independent. (I'm holding onto it for a couple more years before I break down and succumb to baby-mania.)

Anyway, here's to another 26 years!!! (At least!)

First, Happy Birthday Girlfriend!!!!!

Second, don't rush anything. Be young and carefree as long as you can. I got married at 27 1/2. I was a Mom by 29. I had a fun, very fun past life. I love being married and I really love being a Mom. If I had done it sooner, I might have felt like I missed out on something. Motherhood is a tough job but it is the best job you'll ever have - unless you hate kids. ;-)

Have a great birthday. Buy some Sudafed and take two before passing out - it does wonders preventing hangovers...

Very funny!!! My mom tells me that all the time. Especially after she saw "Something about Mary." (She thinks I'm a goofball like that, but it's mostly just when I'm around her.) My dad says Gwen Stefani. Either way, it's a huge compliment!
