I'm watching the RNC on CNN. Wah wah wah.
There was a whole section of guys in bluejeans and cowboy boots and HUGE cowboy hats! And then this country band played! OMG, you had to see it.
Posted by Maria at August 30, 2004 09:51 PMOf course Maria - they are real Americans! True patriots. Vowboy hats, country music, ford pickup trucks, apple pie. Didn't you know that already? *THEY* are the good guys and we are the bad guys. Just as "gordon"/geoffrey. They are always right.
Posted by: nunya at August 31, 2004 08:12 AMAnd the DNC was a ideal model of being serious?
Posted by: Mad Mikey at August 31, 2004 09:00 AMIf you cannot see through the transparency of the spectacle that took place last night, i.e., the blatant exploitation of 9/11 for everything it's worth, playing on fear and praising god ad nauseum, while avoiding any of the other issues that voters care about, then I really don't think there's anything I can do for you.
The DNC focused on the whole picture, there were more speeches that addressed issues across the board, and a whole lot less theatrics. The RNC needs to come back to planet earth after blasting off into the atmosphere with those over the top speeches and "god bless George Bush and god bless America and no one else and thank god for George Bush and thank god for Dick Cheney..." Let me know when these schmucks are done saying grace and start talking about something that actually matters.
Posted by: Maria at August 31, 2004 10:00 AMDid you watch the primetime speeches? There were some good speeches last night. Remember it was only day 1 - they had to get the preliminary boring crap out of the way first.
I saw Bush yesterday. It was a fun rally. I recommend that you go and see Kerry when he holds his next one. Those rallys are hella fun. I live in the Detroit area and let me tell you - the fucking cowboy hats are a pain in the ass. I kept thinking - this is fucking Detroit, what is with the ten gallon hats? I'm only 5'7 and a 6 foot dude wearing a hat is a bitch. Next time, I'll be wearing my son's "cat in hat" hat. I'll show those fucking urban cowboys!
"And the DNC was a ideal model of being serious?"

Yes... I agree. It was.
tghe "god bless..." fiasco reminds me more of how the peasants praise their king in monarchy rather than how people should act in a democracy.
Mikey, you think it is ok for them to be running religion up peoples asses like that?

I'd rather know what you think nunya. *edited by your mama*
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at August 31, 2004 07:09 PMGreat. Another comment to delete. Knock it off guys. Learn how to have a somewhat civil discussion.
Posted by: Maria at August 31, 2004 07:36 PMBetter than guys in pink tights and tutus that normally grace the streets of New York.
Funny. I've never seen you post making fun of them. Just the state of Texas.
Nahhh. Moonbats aren't haters.
Posted by: Geoffrey at August 31, 2004 08:01 PMIsn't it funny that Maria expects everyone to behave on her blog, but when she visits yours, it's a free for all?
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at August 31, 2004 08:55 PMGordon, when was the last time I commented at your blog? And please show me one example of a time when I have acted as nasty as people act on my blog, totally unprovoked. I have people coming to my blog and FUCKING SHITTING ON ME. Get a clue, dick.
Posted by: Maria at September 1, 2004 12:06 AMAnd Gordon, I have never acted even as remotely as low class as all you boys do. How bout you stop spreading lies and show me some proof that I have ever behaved on your blog the way that you often behave on mine.
Posted by: Maria at September 1, 2004 12:10 AMAnd when I prove you wrong? What then?
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at September 1, 2004 10:02 AMIt would be impossible for you to prove me wrong Gordon, because you're lying. Now cut the bluffing and get to work proving it.
Posted by: Maria at September 1, 2004 10:05 AMBullshit. You're lying about me lying. Kinda like Kerry blaming Bush for the Swif Boat ads.
Before I waste my time going through my arhives I want to know what you'll do to reciprocate when I prove you a lair?
An apology? What? What will you do? I'm not going to waste my time for nothing.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at September 1, 2004 12:51 PMI'll tell you what I'll give you if you prove it: (which you won't because you're lying) a fucking knuckle sandwich for fabricating posts. Now get crackin pinocchio.
Posted by: Maria at September 1, 2004 12:53 PMNope. It's got to be a post dedicated to an apology to me.
Posted by: Gordon at September 1, 2004 02:27 PMDream on!
Posted by: Maria at September 1, 2004 02:28 PMMoonbats aren't haters.
As a moonbat there are only two things I truly hate bad liars and incompetent thieves. Bush epitomizes both. Anyone who considers Bush an honorable man is either a knave or complicit in the destruction of democracy as we know it. OK... three things, I really really hate that smirk.
Posted by: cul at September 2, 2004 01:40 AMThese next four years are gonna make you crack I think.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at September 2, 2004 05:46 PMAs a moonbat there are only two things I truly hate bad liars and incompetent thieves.
You like Kerry because he's a good liar and a competent thief?
You guys cry about Bush's lies a lot. Not one of you has yet to give an example.
Posted by: Geoffrey at September 2, 2004 07:33 PMGeoffrey, why do you bother lying. WE have provided many examples of Bush's lies over the years.
Even Colin Powell had the decency to come out and say that there were deliberately misleading statements made by the administration in the leadup to the war.
I'm sure you'd like to deny that too. But it's another one of those pesky facts that you ridiculously dillusional Bush supporters can't seem to run away from.
Posted by: Maria at September 2, 2004 07:55 PMI'm lying? Give me an example of a Bush lie, then. It shouldn't be too hard if there are as many as you claim.
Posted by: Geoffrey at September 2, 2004 08:23 PMcricket... cricket...
Posted by: Gordon at September 2, 2004 11:42 PMWe know where Saddam's Weapons of Mass Destruction are hidden.
There are massive stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons.
Saddam tried to buy yellow cake uranium from Africa.
My tax cuts benefit the poor as well as the rich.
I care about the environment.
I barely know Kenneth Lay.
My administration had nothing to do with contracts to Halliburton.
My administration has no relationship to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.
Posted by: Maria at September 3, 2004 10:37 AMCould you point me to where he said those things?
Posted by: Geoffrey at September 3, 2004 11:00 AMCricket... Cricket...
Why bother? Hearsay and rumors are good enough for Maria. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't cite Nunya.
Posted by: Gordon the Magnificent at September 3, 2004 07:26 PMTry the State of the Union address for starters. It's not my fault that you don't pay attention to the news.
