Eyes-Won't-Stay-Open

It's been a busy day. I haven't watched the news or read a paper or been on the computer much, so I don't have any idea what's going on in the world today. Can't blog about that. Spent two hours in a staff focus group/meeting with the managing shareholder of our NY offices airing any grievances regarding...well pretty much everything was covered, from how much file storage space we have, to communications with other departments, to difficulties with human resources, to training issues, and even our compensation packages & increases. It was actually a pretty cool meeting and nice that all staff were invited to take the opportunity to express our thoughts about the firm to someone who actually has the power to take it into account. It was an amicable meeting and he was very receptive to any ideas and concerns. A nice lunch was served. And a lot of ground was covered. Not a bad way to spend a couple hours in the middle of the day.

After work I went to the dentist. It wasn't a fun (or fun-ny) experience. There were a couple of painful moments. I have my new crowns and I'm very happy, but my teeth are super sensitive underneath from bleaching and being tampered with. Blah blah blah. I am exhausted and have a big weekend planned so I'm off to sleepytown.

First thing tomorrow I will try to come up with something riveting to say. Until then...
