Talking about partying too hard with Sandy this morning has reminded me of a movie I recently watched called "Party Monster" with Macaulay Culkin, Seth Green and Chloë Sevigny. Awesome movie. And a true story to boot. It's worth it to watch the DVD because the interviews and behind the scenes footage are terrific.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Marilyn Manson is also in the movie. I almost didn't recognize him as an out of control, blonde, drugged up, transvestite. There is a wonderful scene where they are having a huge party in the back of a giant hot pink 18-wheel truck and he's driving. When the cops get to him they drag him out of the cab of the truck and he falls to the ground in the most helpless, flailing manner. It was beautiful.

The lack of any real love or affection this guy had or could show..I mean yeah he was a major drug user but..it left me feeling sorry for him and Seth was the bright spot in that film, he was good but a little too put on, but I guess that's what these guys life was all about..OUTRAGEOUSNESS and being flamboyant and completely over the top. Dylan McDermont, who I was actually shocked to see in this film also did a good job.
